mission statement
To support Midland Citizens in electing representatives that prioritize local infrastructure & local education policies and deliver negative electoral consequences to incumbents and candidates that don’t.
Questions Midlanders should ask candidates and elected officials.
Do you support consequences for bad policy and results?
Do you support zero based budgeting?
Will you champion policy to reduce bureaucratic bloat?
What is your perspective on “balance” when spending and investing tax dollars between “needs” & “wants?”
Please explain your perspective on the difference between “public” & “private?” The increase in public/private partnerships being utilized for capital intensive projects has led to gray area in distinguishing the difference between public & private. Where is the line? When is it crossed? Who is accountable to the voters?
Be aware of biases and manipulation tactics: Stay vigilant and be aware of common biases that can influence decision-making, such as confirmation bias or the bandwagon effect. Be cautious of manipulation tactics, such as emotional manipulation, information withholding, or pressure to conform. Take the time to critically evaluate information and motives behind different perspectives.
